Fawaz Rehan

Fawaz Rehan is an Architect and Interdisciplinary Artist exploring the boundaries of cinema, culture, and technology. He is the Co-Founder of Maaenaverse, an emerging AI-driven experimental art studio that produces films and artworks blending surrealism, abstraction, and satire with South Asian music, history, and folklore. His practice sits at the intersection of storytelling and innovation, reimagining how collective memory and cultural narratives can be expressed through new media.
Over the past year, Fawaz’s films have reached millions of viewers across digital platforms. Standout works include the viral Sanson Ki Maala | AI Music Film , an AI reimagining of Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan; a series of music films imagining Jinnah and Gandhi together; to works featuring South Asian artists such as Talwiinder and Kidjaywest. These projects have positioned him among the first artists from the subcontinent to push AI filmmaking and art into both popular and critical discourse.
Rooted in his architectural training, Fawaz’s creative process reflects an architect’s sense of structure, space, and rhythm, while his passion for music brings emotional and cultural depth to his films. His mission is to create cinema and art that resonate both locally and globally, blending tradition with technology to build new visual languages for South Asia and beyond.
